What do we do?

At Wizard Education we are involved in a variety of different projects, training programmes and activities.

Our primary work from September 2014 is changing as we shift our emphasis from pre 16yrs to 16-24yrs and adult training although we will continue to offer bespoke and short engagement programmes according to demand. 

As a 'not for profit' organisation with community and self development at the heart of our work, we try to remain flexible and open to new projects and ideas. We work with other local organisations to provide a range of packages and opportunities including;

To support our work by providing work experience opportunities and helping us to build sustainability, we either run or work with a variety of small enterprises including;

Previous Engagement programmes and projects for 14-16yr olds include;

Courses open to all age groups (run subject to demand and as private tuition):

  • Introduction to the internet (using emails, shopping, facebook, ebay etc)
  • Introduction to word processing and spreadsheets
  • Marketing the small business or sole trader (how to create promotional materials, posters, flyers, online adverts and banners)
  • Web Design for the small business or sole trader 

Community courses, activities or projects:

  • Swindon Silver Surfers (over 50's workshops to swap notes, learn new skills or take those first scary steps online - all over a cup of tea!)
  • Computer workshops (for all ages; how to find and apply for jobs, get online for the first time, brush up skills or build new ones! - join a workshop or book up for some one to one lessons)
  • Soap Box Derby
